Re: SCREW YOU! I’M KEEPING YOU SAFE!!!

I guess that is a reasonable suggestion. If the storm has dissipated, go back to normal programming. If it flares up again, they can jump right back in.

Re: Happy St. Pat's Day! Irish Ancestry Databases Free! Royal Pains? Next Gen Ancestry DNA!

DNA carries a lot of traits. There was a recent study that those carrying the gg gene are nicer and more empathetic. Most gg genes are found in blue-eyed persons. Not all blue-eye persons carry the gg gene but some do. I spent some time this morning looking at photos to see where my dominate feature...

Re: SCREW YOU! I’M KEEPING YOU SAFE!!!

Where could I find something close to real-time quality coverage of 5, 12, 25 during this tornado event on the internet? Plus WNEM's doppler was impressive! I have some advanced weather tools and a ham radio, so I was on top of it but I still found the coverage helpful with this very fast moving st...

Re: Disturbance at Burger King over refund

I never got that memo on the $2 bill, but this was a long time ago.

This says it is still in production, but rare:

Re: Disturbance at Burger King over refund

I could tell customer stories too when I was very young. One got PO'd because gave her a 2-dollar bill. I remember being puzzled by her response and indicating it was legal tender. She ended yelling at me because I didn't respect elders. I should have yelled back "I'm just a 10 year old kid, I was t...

Re: Disturbance at Burger King over refund

Wow, and you trust them to make edible food? I learned to make change without a calculator. It's not hard you just count it back to them as you do it. You start at $12.35 and keep giving them money until it equals $20.35. Start with smallest first. Add a one dollar bills until get to zero or five. T...

Re: SCREW YOU! I’M KEEPING YOU SAFE!!!

I corrected my earlier post to include the quote I was referring to.

LOL101 fails to understand one significant advantage TV stations have over the internet is being LOCAL.

Re: SCREW YOU! I’M KEEPING YOU SAFE!!!

Per the topic, are the stations obligated to acknowledge those who don't appreciate the interruption of their "regularly scheduled programming "? I'd rather be over-informed and have someone interested in the common good. Just inform the public professionally. Don't feel the need to respond to the ...

Would you rather be informed of the storm heading your direction, or be surprised?

If a station has news staff, they are obligated to warn people of any major issue that could be life/death.
Stop it, stop it, you are making sense!

Re: Less State News; More National News

For the longest time, I've been avoiding watching TV. I just wanted to see how well I get by without one. Well, I decided to check out our "local news" a few weeks ago and everything was about national issues. There was the typical murder in Detroit story, but not much else. On some of the boards I...

That report is laughable. I have lost one tire in 25 years due to a pot hole.

I could maybe buy this study if it included salt.

Re: Washington Post Praises Gov. Whitmer's Gas Tax Proposal

A road tax increase would be bad for brick and mortar businesses. Amazon might see a slight increase in costs due to road tax but nothing like the negative effects on brick and mortar stores.
