Re: CBS Detroit GM Negative Comments
Maybe if you were more concerned about the work that you do, then you are about posting gossip about people that isn’t true, CBS Detroit would be a better place to work. But instead all you want to do is spread lies about people, because that is the small egocentric individual that you are. Grow the ...

CBS Detroit Sued Again
Former sports anchor Ronnie Duncan is suing claiming discrimination. Stations is also facing a federal lawsuit from ex-reporter Ibrahim Samra. What a mess. Time to shutdown the newsroom side. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/entertainment/television/2024/12/31/ex-cbs-detroit-sports-anchor-claims ...

Re: 2025 News Station Predictions
New owners of CBS could sell off the stations. That’s according to some reports apparently the new owners are only interested in the CBS network and sports division. Oliphant and Lyons are clueless to fixing a Detroit stations. They just smile and offer no real direction. The producers are the b ...

Re: CBS Detroit Future
Good points. Sky dance could sell off a few low hanging stations to bring in money. I expect management changes and a lot of talent contracts are up in spring.

CBS Detroit Future
The news product and on air talent is still worst in the market.
The sports reporter Rachel Hopmyer is so bad.
Will be interesting to see what happens to the stations when new ownership takes control in March.

Re: CBS Detroit Swings the Axe
I am beginning to think that some like to complain just to complain. I get that CBS Detroit has issues, but some of the complains here are just crazy. This is why I think some of this is personal. I’m a photog there and I can vouch that it’s a bad situation. A big problem is some of the producers th ...

Re: Fixing CBS Detroit
The set can wait - viewers don’t care about a set. They definitely need a stronger male for the afternoon and 6 PM shows. You could easily move Terrance Friday to anchor the weekends and report on the 11 PM during the weekday. The weekend anchors are so bad. They also need a total revamp of the t ...

Re: CBS Detroit Swings the Axe
The station’s dedication to sports is a joke.I’m a photog and during the Lions playoff games they used the two guys who produce the 6 and 630 shows to report and shoot the games.
What a joke. Was an insult to actual photogs and an embarrassment for the station.

Re: CBS Detroit Swings the Axe
Newsman123 has good points.
It’s everything.
Shaina Humphries stands out because the rest of the anchor lineup is so weak.
There are H*** issues with producers in that building.
And not one reporter is a standout.
The weather team is all over the place.
It’s a hot mess

Growing speculation that Zucker, who’s part of the financing team that bought Paramount / CBS will be tapped to lead CBS.

Re: CBS Detroit Is Unwatchable
I currently work there. It is a rough place to work. I’ve been there since day one. There has been some crazy stuff go down. And the people that caused it are still there. Paul and Lisa lost the newsroom. couple months into it - the producers walked out of the newsroom and went into the conference r ...
