Re: U-M leaves Audacy for WCSX & WMGC
Perhaps Adell's WFDF could carry select games, they can certainly cover Flint! The now silent 1470 or 1570 in Flint would have made a nice simulcast partner for WSGW. With the demise of these two stations, there's also no MSU affiliate in the market. If Townsquare was interested in U of M they would ...

Re: Another WJR change
Surprised they didn't add the Westwood One program America at Night hosted by Rich Valdez (former Bohannan show) instead of a Fox News program.

Re: Guy Gordon gets the ax
Guy Gordon was abysmal on WJR, during his afternoon call in show as well as the morning show. Zero chemistry with the morning team, and a poor interviewer (though not as bad as Paul W. Smith). I may actually give the WJR morning show another listen now that he's gone. I agree that chemistry was ...

I believe these two stations were on a Silent STA prior to the ice storm. WFDX is in the process of being sold to Northern Christian Radio and WPHN suffered a fire a while back.

Re: WLXT tower down! More problems for Mac-Garber
Wondering if WSRT, WLXT, and WKHQ could all relocate to the same tower site? The Gaylord site may be best positioned to house all three, at least on a temporary basis.

Re: WLXT tower down! More problems for Mac-Garber
You can add WMJZ Gaylord to the growing list of towers that have collapsed. MAB newsletter today reports they plan to broadcast with a temporary antenna at their studio. Can't even imagine the amount of insurance claims from this storm.

Re: WTRX and WWCK-AM going dark
Perhaps I should have said "secular" instead of "commercial". Either way, this past year has not been kind to heritage AM stations in Flint.

WTRX and WWCK-AM going dark
This leaves no commercial AM stations left in Flint. https://radioinsight.com/headlines/297717/cumulus-shutting-down-des-moines-flint-fort-walton-beach-ams/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=jetpack_social&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3CGjc95LQ7lfAAGVaJN5atQbM1wl6wkjMC6ogO4O3p39UUt_pYnVVJNNM_aem ...

Looks like Bongo's Replacement, Vince Coglianese, started his new show today. https://radioinsight.com/headlines/295853/wmal-afternoon-host-vince-coglianese-to-succeed-dan-bongino-on-westwood-one/ How many existing Bongino affiliates keep their affiliation with Westwood One? Re: WiOG: Flint's Hit Station
Here's an idea: Flip WWCK-FM to Classic Hits. (WHNN should have never ditched the format, imo) Then make WCCW-AM and the 107.3 FM translator a simulcast of either WKQZ or WIOG. Looks like CK 105's content is completely outsourced - either via satellite or VT'd in Saginaw. Time to for a change, or a ...

Re: Bye Bye Bongino
Compass Media has Markley and Van Camp in that time slot as well. The show was better when it was just Markley and Van Camp. It was rolled out as a more lighthearted, pop-culture show that didn't take themselves too seriously. It was supposed to attract younger demo. When Mark Levin wannabe Scott ...

Bye Bye Bongino
Trump has named Don Bongino to be the deputy director of the FBI. Bongino had been trying to weasel out of his contract with Cumulus/Westwood One since the pandemic, threatening to quit over a vaccine mandate, despite he himself taking the jab. He's already been replaced on many of Cumulus Media's ...

I wonder if the issue was with their STL and had to remove it for the roof repairs or something like that.

Re: 99.9 and 97.5 Benton Harbor change calls
I'm curious what happens with WSJM-FM. WQYQ, under the previous call sign of WSJM, was a sports station. They then merged the news-talk and sports-talk into a single WSJM brand and moved it to FM. Does 94.9 go all news talk? Do they flip to music?
