You're right. But there is nothing wrong with people gathering to show they are engaged and together.
As long as the pickets don't devolve into destruction of property or violence or prevent others from moving about. Can't legally block a street unless you have a permit to do so.

One of our City Commissioners hinted at blocking traffic for a bit. The Mayor, and county commissioners will also be protesting.
I agree that the act of a protest does nothing, but it can help organize people against Trump. Plenty of his idiots have protested...

There was an attempt by MAGA in my area to shut down the one here but police flat out told them to leave or face stiff fines. They left immediately. Our law enforcement is run by Dems.
