We haven't heard from him in some time. I fear he's gone over to the dark side.
Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
We still have Mr. Positive, who should be interviewed if not a guest host for Ron or Luke’s shows.

I can't help but wonder if WDTK hasn't told Ron his podcasts aren't being produced. By Ron's own admission he doesn't have a computer, so perhaps WDTK is keeping Mr. Cameron "in the dark?" (I just checked WDTK's website and as I told Ron, the latest podcast is from July 3, 2022.)

What a glorious moment of absolute triumph for the Buzzboard.Momo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 24, 2022 6:09 pm Slam Ron all you want fellow Buzzards, but don't attack Ron's guests! How, after all this time, did Ron finally realize that so many of us are not his fans?!

And many thanks to Mr. Positive for throwing himself into the front lines for us.
Re: Ron Cameron
I think you're right. I'm afraid to guess who, because it might turn out to be someone who's often been one of our friends.radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 24, 2022 6:18 pmHe has a Buzzboard mole!Momo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 24, 2022 6:14 pmYes. Did you miss what he said to Mr. Positive? Before Mr. Positive could say anything, Ron said he had to talk to him about something. And that was that he was never to mention us again. That he heard we had "slammed" two of his guests & he was not going to stand for that!
Re: Ron Cameron
I immediately thought of our comments about Corey Lidle. The tone in Ron's voice was similar to the tone he used when Cowboy tried to bring up the anniversary of Lidle's death last fall.
Re: Ron Cameron
Cowboy lurks the boards, does he email Ron’s account? Could it be Luke? He was there last night.
Rich Kincaide is likely one. I don’t see many of Ron’s guests being very computer literate but you never know.
Do we kick this up a notch and start boycotting his advertisers?

Yes, in this the summer of the 50th anniversary of the Watergate break-in, who is Deep Throat?Bobbert wrote: ↑Sun Jul 24, 2022 10:54 pmI think you're right. Could it be Luke? Since 6/23 (p. 549), when he informed us that he had been out-of-town, not fired, he’s disappeared from these pages, & hasn’t responded to any of our comments and/or requests, e.g., letting Ron know that Frank, not he, was correct about the lack of podcasts. Perhaps Ron’s given him a cut of his highly lucrative ad deals.
What about Alex? He's not been heard from since (p. 558), when he broke the news that Denny was the guest that night.
Other candidates? How about our longtime nemesis, Greg from Warren? Or perhaps Kurt, who, while studiously ignoring us, perhaps been secretly seething over the less than stellar reception his long-planned, long-running, all-alphabet MLB team has received. And he has suspiciously tempered his criticism of Avila in the last couple weeks.
Re: Ron Cameron
We might now be under siege by the colossus that is Sports Talk with Ron Cameron, but, as Tom from Berkley & both Dave from Utica & Ben have shown (& add, perhaps, an occasional Baba Booey), we lowly underdogs can still win this war through guerrilla tactics. Remember, all we have to fear is fear itself (or a lifetime ban)!
Re: Ron Cameron
The sponsors need to know how Ron is treating the buzzboard. If someone was to provide a list of sponsors and their emails I would surely let them know that I would be boycotting them and goiig on social media to ask others to do so as well unless Ron changes his attitude toward the buzzboard.Without sponsors Ron has no show

Re: Ron Cameron
Who would have thought that nights might show would be one of the most controversial of all time coming out the gate. I was about two minutes late and I missed it!
Ron was having none of it and I will have to go back and check out the first minute of the podcast-if they are ever posted.
Could this be a ratings ploy as Ron gears up for the new fall edition of the Ron Cameron show?
Could the mole possibly be old producer Martin? Showing his loyalty and wanting a spot in the highly coveted Saturday/Sunday brokered radio slot?
With open lines next week (most likely) this could be a highly anticipated show!!!

The whole buzzboard thing is a pathetic attempt by a man, who with this unbelievable ego he has, thinks he's still relevant when he hasn't been relevant in what...30 years.

I appreciate the interest in his show, good, bad or indifferent each week. The fact that Ron knows about it means even though he doesn't like the criticism, he understands more people are listening. As many others have said, the ads should be easier to sell now!
