Michigan Radio & TV Buzzboard

As an old WQRS and WJZZ listener (who misses those stations) I am a charter supporter of WRCJ and happily send them a check every year. I would hope that most of their listeners do. I don't think that it is the role of the federal govt to fund my classical and jazz radio.

I listen to AM for news/talk and to Sirius/XM for music. I gave up on FM long ago; the same songs over and over and endless commercials.

I like Charlie. He is an intelligent local guy who went to Michigan schools, and his degrees in Theater and Law prepared him well for his radio and TV gigs. His voice is just that way. Not everyone has to have a smooth newscaster voice to be in media!

Every night on 900 I'm hearing Spanish language variety-type songs, very different style from what is usually played on Spanish language or regional Mexican stations. Usually a female announcer between songs. I've checked streams and it is not Progreso Cuba and not WACA in MD. Any ideas? Has anyone ...

Give a listen sometime to Zoomer Radio CFZM 740 AM Toronto. Oldies and classic rock; a better playlist than anything in Detroit. Comes in clear at night, kind of challenge during the day because AM.

That .5 share that Adell's WFDF has is probably all former WJR listeners. I'm one of those. Habit and Inertia had me listening to 760 until I discovered 910 last fall.
