9-11 special broadcasters movie

Unread post by james sofonia »

Back when 9-11 happened the following April at N.A.B. a video of the event was shown at one of the sit down dinners. It follows the engineers through the event (all were killed). It is from the broadcaster's viewpoint. Does anyone remember seeing this or know where it can be seen today?

Is that the Naudet brothers video?

I think they're referring to the transmitter engineers that were working at the top of one of towers on Sept 11th. I'm not aware of any video from their viewpoint though so perhaps they're referring to some kind of broadcaster tributes to them individually.

The Naudet brothers were filming a documentary on a rookie firefighter in 2001. They were riding with a fire battalion chief and filmed the first plane hitting the tower. The brother filming then went in the chiefs car to the WTC.

You mean this one? Youtube 2:08:00 or so. It is well done and very emotional.

It was not the Naudet Brothers film (a very good one). I don't know who filmed or produced it, but is worth tracking it down to see it. I'm sure other broadcasters and engineers would find it an emotional viewing. Maybe someone who was at the N.A.B. April 2002 would have something to say or maybe know who to ask.
