What format is your analog music in, TT? LP, cassette, reel to reel, something else?

And what will you be playing the mp3's on?

I've transferred hundreds of LP's, cassettes, MiniDiscs (remember those?), and reels to high-resolution digital. It's fairly easy with a laptop computer and a USB audio interface.

Maybe it doesn't need to be MP3. I just want to save music on a thumb drive so I can play it back.

Are you going to play the thumb drive through the phone that is hanging on the kitchen wall?

Okay. Format aside (.mp3, .flac, .alac, etc), what will you be plugging the thumb drive in to? Your vehicle?

We still need to know what you are wanting to transfer to digital (records, tapes, Florence Foster Jenkins) and how you want to go about doing so.

You might consider an ear drive.
