You mean WFGR, not WFJR.

I suspect both stations' ratings will continue in similar territory.

It'll be interesting to see if 98.7 adds any worthwhile play by play.

Age 12+ share is of minimal relevance to advertisers. Men 18+, especially Men 25 to 54 delivery, is what matters for the sports radio format.

98.7 did nab the Tigers away from iHeart: https://sportsradio987.com/detroit-tige ... adio-2026/

That is a big win for 98.7.

I bet they'll be the radio home of the Wings for Grand Rapids beginning this autumn as well.

I see the braindead paper pushers of the Tigers front office have yet to update their Radio Affiliates page. I guess they are too busy fumbling (very embarrassingly, I might add) the rollout of the Detroit Sports Network for TV.

Edit - the affiliation for 98.7 was actually announced way back on February 3:

so if the tigers have a good season, then it'll probably be the highest ratings for 98.7 in a long time, 106.9 will probably slide a point down but conservative talk will keep it up there.

I agree that this won't hurt WOOD Radio much in the ratings. I have no idea how much local advertising was sold during Tigers baseball.

WFGR with classic hits approached a 4 share a few times in 12+.

I do think the Tigers will give 98.7 a solid edge over 96.1 in the ratings.

What about the big ones show? Will he get the Hammer from Valenti and Rico? I believe they have big Ratings in Detroit during drive time.

I suspect 98.7 will win that daypart versus 96.1.

The biggest loser of 98.7 taking the Tigers from 1300/106.9 is the lakeshore, as 98.7's signal is weak over there

It's pretty crazy that Bill keeps landing on stations despite never getting a ratings win against direct competition.

Listeners literally chose a random pipe-in show this book over him.

WGHN 92.1 will be carrying all games except daytime weekday games.

WGHN will be carrying all Detroit Tigers games (day and night) unless there is a scheduling conflict with the Detroit Lions or Michigan State Athletics.
We look forward to bringing an exciting season of Tiger baseball to the lakeshore, Musekgon, and more.

Valenti and rico will cream the large show, just like sean baligan and terp did on 96.1 in the early 2010's by a yuge margin, even FBHW trolled him over it.
