Got offered a free 3 month Sirius XM trial all access including apps. It's pretty damn awesome. Their sound is a little less compressed then before on my car radio, but it sounds really good through my Firestick.

Got offered a free 3 month Sirius XM trial all access including apps. It's pretty damn awesome. Their sound is a little less compressed then before on my car radio, but it sounds really good through my Firestick.

They've worked hard to optimize their internet audio streams. Satellite provided streams still lack quality, but make up for that in coverage and reliability in my opinion.

That said, I do get tired of listening about every six months and cancel, just to get some mega deal for six months at $5 or something. It's nice to have in my camper since we're usually in pretty remote areas.

Car radio audio quality varies dramatically depending on whether the legacy Sirius platform, the legacy XM platform or the modern platform is used.

My current vehicle delivers outstanding Sirius XM audio quality when compared to all my prior vehicles. A number of local FM stations (WRIF, WDZH, WOMC, WYCD) sound like garbage from an audio quality standpoint when compared to SXM.

I have a 2009 Saab so it’s the legacy XM system via GM.
