I’m in the D at least once a month if not more. Every time I turn on the Riff, I’m not impressed. Still way too much classic rock, which they need to leave to sister CSX. To me, the Everything that Rocks format is the wrong direction with CSX and WLLZ covering the classic rock spectrum. Make them a true Active Rocker like Saginaw’s Z93…

I agree with Realist. I've always felt that RIF should lay off the classic rock, especially since there's already a dedicated classic rock station in town. (Also owned by Beasley.) I'm not even going to mention "F*** Wheels".

You have to go to smaller cities up north to listen to a decent rock station.

I can't remember the last time I listened to the WRIF. Not that I listen to 98.7 all that much, but they are on my presets.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

NEVER EVER COMPLY WITH FASCISM!!!

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Always liked Alt 98.7, since Toledo's Zone went HD only and 89X ended. WRIF is okay, but much prefer Alt 98.7 so I'm not surprised they're almost tied in the ratings.

Wonder if RIF lost some audience to The Ticket? I rarely listen for reasons already mentioned, and haven't listened to Alt in forever.
Good on Alt for dumping that skin crawlingly awful afternoon show a while back, though.

Just two years ago, I was waiting for an announcement of WHEN WWJ would be moving to 98.7. Now they’re top five in A18-34 AND 25-54. Incredible work they’ve done with this station!

I noticed that half of the top ten stations in the market were owned by Audacy. Obviously "The Ticket" lead the ratings and
there's nothing new about that. WOMC, WYCD,, and WWJ all made the top ten with their ups and downs yet nothing new
about that. What is new is that WDZH-FM 98.7 otherwise known as "ALT" made the top ten. This station has had low ratings
and now they made the top ten with a 4.4% share. From some of the posts I had read it sounds like people are getting used
to and are even liking WDZH. I remember not too long ago there were people who submitted posts that WDZH should flip
to a simulcast with all news WWJ-AM 950. I'll admit that I agreed with those posts until I saw the September ratings. When
I saw WDZH cracking the top ten with a 4.4% share and WWJ with s 4.7% share it made me realize that Audacy of Detroit
will not flip WDZH at this time. I believe they will continue WDZH as is unless a few months later WDZH slips below a 4%
share in the overall Nielsen radio ratings.

Alt is a decent background station to have on while you work or drive. Some uptempo music with a decent mix of throwbacks and new tunes, It's one of my presets. Plus Julia amuses me in the morning with her Millennial 30 something drama, she is quick and doesn't blabber on with her prerecorded hits and gets back to the music. Rarely will I sit through more than a minute or so of Dave and Chuck.

Julia Is way more tolerable than Shannon murphy's psychobabble on mojo in the morning (95.5)

Dave and chuck jumped the shark since 89x.

This has to be the best ratings for 98.7 since their smooth jazz days. ALT is ok, not the best but at least it's something different than endless loops of Eddie Money, Queen, and Journey. Which I think, enough people are beyond tired of, so that may reflect the ratings. So good to see. Still, there is plenty of demand still for the old crusty dusties :lol .

WRIF, it's been a long time since I've heard them. Back in the early to mid 2000s I listened to them quite a bit, when Doug Podell and Arthur P were still on.
Set preset button 1 to 94.7fm... Everyone's making the switch to 94.7...
