Fact check: Harris blames abortion restriction for Georgia woman’s death

Unread post by audiophile »

It was the Biden's FDA that allowed RU-486 type drugs without doctor's supervision that probably caused this death, that is discussed in detail.

Georgia allows medical treatment:
... reading of Georgia’s anti-abortion statute does not prohibit performing a D&C in the case of abortion pill complications or miscarriage complications.

“Amber Thurman’s state of Georgia clearly allows physicians to intervene in medical emergencies or when there is no detectable fetal heartbeat, both of which applied to her,” said Dr. Christina Francis, AAPLOG CEO, in a statement. “Don’t be misled by those who advocate for induced abortion over the health and safety of women.”

You are one sick and demented mother fucker.

Gentleman, this clown refers to itself as pro-life. This post alone is proof that this clown should NEVER be allowed to get away with making that claim.

Your lies must be repeated and repeated in an attempt to get them to "stick" - but they have NO merit.

Read the article, and MAYBE make a few rational comments about it.

You just ignored the whole thing.

Your response is so sixth grade, again.

I'm shocked you haven't been banned for cyber bullying MCRF about who they are. You are extremely unbalanced with your evangelical-based view. I stick to facts - you stick to harmful beliefs. If Roe v. Wade was still the law of the land and this woman had been able to have the procedure done near her home, she'd be alive.

Ah yes, change the subject...

Why don't YOU stick to the facts of the article, that you continue to ignore.

PS If anyone needs to be banned, it should be you.

There are no FACTS in your article. The anti-choice group suggesting that treatment could have occurred immediately is nice to say after the woman is dead, but clearly the doctors/administrators didn't feel that way in the moment. If abortion was legal in Georgia, this woman would be alive. I DARE you to challenge that FACT.

Or maybe get your MAGA folks to stop adding new laws in each state to further confuse doctors?
They/them, non-binary and proud.

NEVER EVER COMPLY WITH FASCISM!!!

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

Sorry Matt, but now it sounds like are gaslighting the Georgia law too, which allows D&C's if there is no heartbeat, as was the case herein.

It's a H U G E stretch to use that argument for incorrect postulate about me not being pro-life. (How would you like it if called you pro-death?)

Blame could theoretically be assigned to multiple things: (IE loosened FDA rules that removed doctor oversight, her delay in seeking treatment, doctors waiting for her blood pressure to drop, and finally her decision to abort at all)

How far do want to go with assigning blame? Hypothetically, if someone got in car crash on the way to pick up the RU-486 drugs, would you blame Georgia law for that too? What of the leftist Ideology that just says it's clump of cells and unregulated abortion clinks are it's safe - how much "blame" should be assigned to this too?

Of course, you make no mention of woman in OP link that died after taking RU-486 that never sought treatment at all in Georgia. Is that Georgia's fault too?

In summary, cut the krap..this ain't football.

More from article >>>
Amber Thurman’s tragic death, recently covered by multiple news organizations, was caused by side effects of legal abortion drugs and medical negligence, not pro-life laws. Despite taking the drugs as she was instructed and seeking timely care when she experienced complications, she still died. Rather than highlighting the dangers of these drugs, which have caused numerous deaths, abortion proponents are instead trying to blame Georgia’s laws in their push to protect induced abortion at all costs.

Make no mistake: all state abortion bans currently in effect contain exceptions to “prevent the death” or “preserve the life” of the pregnant person,” according to KFF. Amber Thurman’s state of Georgia clearly allows physicians to intervene in medical emergencies or when there is no detectable fetal heartbeat, both of which applied to her. Don’t be misled by those who advocate for induced abortion over the health and safety of women.

You aren't pro-life. You are anti-choice. Look at your view on people seeking a better life by coming into this country like our ancestors all did.

You are victim-blaming. This woman died because she had to travel for an abortion at nine weeks. Your beliefs are deplorable - quit while you are miles behind.

No, I pointed out the ridiculousness of your arguments - which is why you resorted to name calling me again and another cheap shot.

(I already explained my views in immigration, but you are too lazy to report accurately).

You are the anti-choice kkkrazy kkkristian zealot. You can't see how your backwards view ended a woman's life.

Name calling again, as a rebuttable to detailed analysis of the "blame game"?

There was no detailed analysis. This woman would be alive if abortion was legal until 16 weeks.

She’d be alive if some politician didn’t run in there in a referees outfit and throw a flag and scour the rule book with a fine toothed comb for 18 hours.
Donald Trump… In your guts you know he’s nuts.

The Resistance begins now.

This is a pro-Democracy account.

Dear America… you were warned.

This is proof that safe legal medical abortions be available to women who choose to do so. Plain and simple.
