As a girl dad I agree with BMW, molesters deserve no mercy. I was in a murdering frame of mind when my oldest daughter was raped so I understand the frame of mind totally. If that was indeed the case he will have one hell of a defense.

This is nothing more than innuendo at this point. It was an assassination. I wonder how BMW would react if one of the women Trump has raped decided to take matters into her own hands...

The facts will hopefully come out during the investigation. Yes sir, it is an assassination but if proven true it was justified.
I think we have to agree to disagree here. I don't think it was justified, but I can understand why he would react that way. He deserves to be fully charged and thrown in prison.

Temporary of course, claim justified homicide because of the circumstances as long as you have proof of the molestation
So I can stick that in my back pocket if someone does me wrong? Because claiming “I just had to kill the guy!” doesn’t really seem like the kind of thing you can do.
Rumor (and again, these are just rumors) also has it that she might be pregnant with the judge's baby.
And Matt - I said wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I didn't justify it. But I would suggest it was justified if the daughter is indeed pregnant and it is indeed the judge's baby. That sheriff understood that obtaining justice for his daughter through the traditional route would be difficult, if not impossible, given the small town politics and power that undoubtedly attach to that judge. And the sheriff has been a sheriff there since 2016, so he would be well aware of the politics there, whatever they are. If I were on a jury and a DNA test confirmed that the daughter was pregnant with the judge's baby, no way I would convict for any degree of murder.
I'd also be curious to know the exact exchange of words that took place between the two just before the shooting.

So we can execute someone without due process? If what has been suspected occurred, there are established laws in this nation. Let's hope they seek the death penalty for this sheriff who premeditated murder. Law enforcement must be held to the high standard of the law.
Given the reputation convicted assault perpetrators experience in prison, it would have been better to send him to jail.
