WCSG news director Becky Carlson retired today after 40 years at the station. Chuck LaTour is her replacement. He previously worked locally at WOOD Radio

Congratulations to Becky. Enjoy your retirement. 40 years at one station is amazing. Chuck Latour is a good guy. He also was the morning news man for many years with Dave and Geri at WLHT in the 80's and 90's.

I believe that 'CSG-FM touted Carlson as the longest-serving female news anchor-reporter at a single station in all of Michigan. 40 years - no doubt true. A hallmark of stability!

Becky Carlson is the real deal - not too hard, not to soft. Credible, relevant, sincere, objective, human doing the news. She's a rare breed. Chuck will serve the station well.

Lot of changes at CSG over the last 3-5 years yet the station keeps racking up #1s. Seems like that doesn't matter to them though. Seems like they just keep being focused on the listener and the ratings take care of themselves.
