Nice article from the Clare County Cleaver regarding the renovation of WKKM's studios and the estate of the late Dave Carmine.
I wish I had known Dave's collection had been for sale. He had tons of obscure 45's. I've yet to find an aircheck of "The Mighty 92" anywhere.

I met Dave Carmine in 1985, a former coworker at WATT in Cadillac worked for him in his final radio job, as can be the route for some who went to Specs Howard and took the far-flung placements that staffed micromarket station shifts at that time.
The best part of that Cleaver story (Sorry you missed out on the rogue vinyl, KeenerGold) is that cash was stashed around Dave's studio building. I can't remember if I even went in WKKM when I made my only visit, it struck me as a rustic facility. Guess I will have to stop on the Mackinaw Trail and look to see what WATT and 96.7's plant give off these days.

Because there just isn't enough Jesus radio in that part of the state.
At least they're maintaining a community presence so this won't be another Smile, FLR, EMF or Strong Tower drone, and I have to respect them for that despite what will surely be a MAGA tone to the programming. And there's still WGDN-FM for the classic country enthusiasts.
