Brad was fired from FOX47. They wanted to move him to Lansing five days per week and he said no. My source there says they offered no compensation, mileage reimbursement, moving expenses, or a raise. He said no and they fired him. There are other big issues behind the scenes with him as well. Apparently one of the awards they won was a promo falsifying Brads history of becoming a weatherman featuring his father as his hero. My person there said Brad ended up telling the whole station they made up that story and to take it down with HR being involved.
They also said the weather department with the other two is struggling (as expected with Trump supporter non meteorologist AJ and a kid out of college at the helm).
I have to side with himhere. A change in work location mid- contact with no compensation? All that driving 5 days a week? That's not a good look on Gary. He shouldn't have hired anyone until his station able to handle having weather in house. Brad was the face of that station for a while. I wonder who his replacement will be? I've been following his Facebook and he's still doing weather there. His severe coverage wasn't bad.
They also said Gary and other managers Matt, Neille, and Joe are driving out anyone with experience that's left. Larry being one of them.
There's no low that Gary et al won't try to achieve. It's like every manager reject ended up at WSYM.

Local Facebook Group chatter has been over the top regarding Brad's firing! I mean people are really torn up. I don't think I've seen this level of outrage since the Tigers fired Ernie Harwell.
