The fact Audacy is allowing a direct format competitor to 97.1 on 1270 shows me that Audacy views this project as a complete non-threat.

I predict this venture will fail within its first year.

Most if not all of the broadcast and written work of Rob Parker is low denominator garbage.

I'm surprised he's not doing this on 1130 instead, given that Parker's Fox Sports Radio is distributed through Premiere Radio Networks. Keeping with the current format, hours not filled by Parker or another Black host could be filled by BIN. I do agree this won't last long. In fact, I'll predict that when this venture does fail, 1270 goes silent or otherwise sold.

Given Audacy’s recent filings, it was probably easier to lease 1270 than 1130. It also could be the fact it’s still a sports station means there’s a built in audience, more so than BIN.

Add me to the never liked Rob Parker list. Mark Wilson could get annoying at times, but he was by far the better half of that duo.

I’ll still give it a shot if there are some local hosts. You never know- even someone like Parker might find a decent talker. His show of course will be an instant change of the dial.

Not only that, but we now have two national anthems played at the Super Bowl. Are there still any players kneeling during the national anthems played at events or has that lost its uniqueness and petered out?

I'm glad that Rob Parker isn't on FS1 anymore he is a blowhard and I didn't like his disrespect of Matt Stafford calling him Matt Padfford.
