In what looked as a rather clumsy attempt at a segue, Kylee Miller today was talking about the big sunspot activity and implied that the AT&T phone issues could be caused by them... "especially on westbound 696 near Telegraph" (or something like that). Hmmmm... sunspots 93 million miles away somehow targeting just the westbound lanes??
They (her and the anchor) had to backtrack a bit and say there was no information proving they were related events. SMDH.
As if there weren't enough reasons to hate AT&T...

Ahmad Bajjey is a space and science aficionado. If he made mention during his shift of the solar activity/flares, he would have debunked the reports linking that to the cell outages, and likely would have given viewers a short tutorial about space weatherMWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 5:08 pm LOL! Why am I not surprised that incident occurred on channel 62?

I saw sky people during this "outage".
I could not conduct normal business. (Until I had to drag my tail in)

You're never too old to learn something stupid.

At some point you have to wonder why they need to retain much of that information AT ALL?? Why do they need to retain your SS #, for example?MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Mar 31, 2024 8:57 am Time to add another reason to the list;

There should be much more severe penalties when breaches like this occur. That should make them think twice about the security and also how much private information they really need to retain.

Just assume every company has leaked your data.
Dear companies "please raise your hand if you have not leaked my data"
Get it over with and Sign up for credit fraud alert and credit freeze at Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
It just takes a few minutes each.
