Amanda Porter was responding on Twitter that it was an NBC issue. Pretty clear it is a Nexstar issue.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 4:35 pm A massive IT failure in Indianapolis appears to be the culprit.

Also, how does a TV station not have a continuity plan in place for big events like this?

This may go down as the biggest snafu in West Michigan broadcast history.

WOTV and WXSP were also dark due to the issue in Indy.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 4:31 pm I take it this issue is not limited to Xfinity and also involves their OTA signal? The dumbasses need to find a way to move the broadcast to either WOTV or WXSP.
I've been watching the game off antenna, and since it came back on it's just been the raw network feed from NBC — no WOOD-TV graphics or promos.

Amen! This comment is beyond the truth and nearly sent me to the floor laughing because of the deep truth to it.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 5:06 pm I hope everyone remembers this incident when Nexstar tries shaking down cable-sat providers for increased retrans fees.

It looks like everything is back to normal now.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 7:07 pm I give their engineers credit for quickly resolving the issue. Job well done.
Are WOTV and WXSP still off the air?
