Fox 17 commercial break
At the time of this post (Friday 11:40p.- ) FOX 17 is airing about 15 minutes straight non-stop commercials after the late newscast.

Re: Fox 17 commercial break
One possibility is they're running "make-goods" on ROS (run of schedule) ads which were either pre-empted by breaking news and/or special programming or lost due to technical difficulties. These ads can contractually air wherever and whenever the station deems fit. I don't believe Fox has any late night network programming at that time.brianbcomedy wrote: ↑Fri Dec 17, 2021 11:58 pm At the time of this post (Friday 11:40p.- ) FOX 17 is airing about 15 minutes straight non-stop commercials after the late newscast.

Re: Fox 17 commercial break
There was an issue last night with the 10:00 and 11:00 news where viewers were directed to watch online. I was wondering if there was another hack job like what happened to Sinclair (WWMT).

Re: Fox 17 commercial break
I use to work in broadcast TV and makegoods was the first thing I thought of. It came right after the 11p. news ended, which was later than is 11:35p. time. I was expecting 2 1/2 Men, but it was commercial right after commercial- several of them the same one- 5/3 Bank, Jet's Pizza just to name a few. I hope none of them were paying newscast rates and more ROS like "Moldy" mentioned.
Re: Fox 17 commercial break
I saw Dateline on at 10:30PM and saw at the bottom they were having problems getting the newscast on last night.

Re: Fox 17 commercial break
I remember reading on their website that 17's switcher was on the friz. They ran a syndicated episode of Dateline NBC at 10pm and then started another at 11, interupting around 11:15 for a delayed newscast. Wonder if they only ran 30 minutes and then used 15 minutes of filler to get back on schedule rather than join regular programming already in progress.
