Obviously there's no public way of knowing how many listeners these rimshots actually had in the immediate Montreal area, since the public Numeris ratings don't show out-of-market listening. Among Anglophone listeners, the #1 pop music station is 925 The Beat by a long shot (second only to 800 CJAD overall), but among Francophones, Virgin is slightly ahead (likely reflecting the competition from Rythme (CFGL) and Rouge (CITE) for Francophone AC listeners). Of course, CKOI wipes the floor with both of them among Francophones.

Meanwhile, the only OTA country-music option available in the Montreal area now is the Kahnawake Mohawk First Nation station (KIC Country 89.9), which really only covers the west side. Those with HD radios can also pick up an HD2 from suburban Longueuil. The area did have an AM country station, 1040 CJMS, but it lost its license not too long ago.
