I think their Top 5 on 5 gimmick is pretty lame. Also I don't like TV5 Deathwatch after every newscast. That music is disturbing. Road Warriors seem a bit silly. Honestly with their news I would rather see more local news rather than opening a broadcast with national stories. That is what the CBS Evening News is for. And the overuse of BREAKING NEWS.

I stopped watching 5 news years ago when they went to their “virtual set”. In passing, their new news set look very much like 12s gawd awful bluuuuuuue set with the worst lighting I’ve ever seen. To think that set was professionally lit blows my mind.

You can criticize 5 all you want, but they are still leading ratings in all newscasts in all recent ratings books. I don’t get it because I don’t think 5’s newscasts or talent are very good for this size market. But viewers must believe otherwise.

12 used to lead the market in quality and was very competitive for a period of time in ratings. But that was a long time ago.
