WMYD is informing their viewers on air and on their website that viewers will have to do a rescan on June 1.
You'll need to rescan your TV to get WMYD TV20 Detroit, here's how on June 1.
WMYD will be cutting over from RF 21 to RF 31. WKBD will soon also be cutting from RF 14 to RF 34 (recently doing brief full power tests). Both are in Phase 3 of the repack, as are WDWO 18 ->32, WHPS-CD 33->15, WLPC-CD 40->28. The changeover for the Phase 3 stations is supposed to be completed by June 21.
The rest of Detroit stations are in Phase 8, which is to be done in March 2020.
Since many stations share tower space, you've been seeing and will continue to see transmission interruptions as riggers do antenna work.
All accepted new registrations through 8:00a ET on April 26, 2025 have been activated. Terms of use are available here: ucp.php?mode=terms
Thank you.
Thank you.

So, when all this is said and done, will they convert to ATSC 3.0?
My furthest DTV tropo: KDKA Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at 202 miles for three days in January 2017 and a night in September 2017 with only an Antennas Direct C2V!
Current setup: Antennas Direct C2Max (2018-present)

Re: Rescan Time. It begins...
It depends on the marketplace, The re-packing is mandated, The ATSC 3.0 Format is not mandated so It depends on the broadcasters and the public if we want ATSC 3.0, The FCC is leaving that up to the broadcasters and you and me. Only time will tell and with only 20 percent of TV households getting TV over-the-air this could flop like HD radio because it’s not all mandated, And cable and streaming doesn’t have to change anything . There’s a ton of pro and con reading check it out.

After a recent re-scan channel 7 seems to be coming in stronger on the southeast side of St.Clair county.

I can now pick up Channel 50 in Grand Blanc.

Well, that's odd, since WXYZ's transition from RF41 to 25 is not until next March 13. Nothing there has changed, yet.macgoldfan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 9:15 am After a recent re-scan channel 7 seems to be coming in stronger on the southeast side of St.Clair county.

They probably got a little boost from tropospheric refraction, that occurs when the temperature and humidity increase.SolarMax wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 10:10 pmWell, that's odd, since WXYZ's transition from RF41 to 25 is not until next March 13.
