Meanwhile, CBS 62 is using a TV screen for weather on a set that looks like an old warehouse.

Lyons is in the midst of cleaning up a major mess left behind by Paul and Lisa. It’s important that we be patient and trust the process. By next year, I think the newsroom model will be gone and they will have an actual news set.

You wouldn’t have happened to have been here previously under a different username would you?

My question:

Why do I want to watch 62CBS news versus 2, 4, or 7?

I haven’t been impressed …. So I haven’t watched beyond ten min or so here n there

62 is a trainwreck - at least you were able to watch ten minutes
Time for new anchors

Same for me. Hardly saw CBS Detroit report stuff from my block that I saw on Macomb County Scanner. I gave them three months and only saw the same stories I see on Fox 2. Dumped them.

It’s like the reporters copied off of FOX2 in the morning and evenings as too lazy to report stuff around the block for news like we never saw from the advertisements of the start up.

Macomb county scanner does not even have the budget and they broadcast more news around the block than CBS Detroit. SMH

I am beginning to think that some like to complain just to complain. I get that CBS Detroit has issues, but some of the complains here are just crazy. This is why I think some of this is personal.

I’m a photog there and I can vouch that it’s a bad situation. A big problem is some of the producers that are still there. There’s a lot of immaturity and they don’t have the experience. The new ND is in over his head. The reporters need to be replaced. Most swipe stories from the other stations or the paper.

I personally don't believe it is a terrible product, but it is generally subpar when compared to 2, 4 and 7.
Frankly comparing 2, 4 and 7 to stations in other top 15 markets leaves a lot to be desired. None of them are terribly great.

They truly need to upgrade the anchor talent. Yesterday, Rachelle Graham was stumbling over her words during the noon newscast and today
it was Lauren Winfrey. Evenings is better, but middays truly needs help.

To be fair, he walked into a bad situation caused by Paul and Lisa. From what I’m gathering, there’s a lot of toxic people there who still need to be let go. If people would just complain less and focus on their tasks, things might go a lot smoother. That’s just my opinion on the matter.

7 is a complete and utter mess. Their newscasts are becoming truly unwatchable.

Fox 2 is better.
