Re: Ron Cameron
It is to bad that Ron does not have tapes of his old shows from the 70s.He could replay interviiews from those shows. It would be more intetesting than what he is doing today.

I listened to the '78 one. What a blast from the past, the show is just buzzing with callers like rapid fire and Ron is letting the guest talk. Wow, great stuff and to hear the voice of Dr. Sonya Freidman and David Newman, those were some great days in Detroit radio, and the call to cash, listening to Ron call a radio listener for a chance to win $795.

That's a very interesting article. I can definitely see Ron screwing up the cash call for sure. lol
Re: Ron Cameron
More on the request line. Calling Matt the co-host, & asking during the Ray Scott interview if this is a rerun.
Re: Ron Cameron
Here’s another approach to the most recent Michigan HOF inductions that’s certain to rile Ron. Just ask him to comment on Bob Page being angry that Al Ackerman & Eli Zaret are not in the HOF. There’s no doubt that Ron will ignore Ackerman & Zaret & tout his own credentials instead.

Re: Ron Cameron
I was reading a bio on Ed Sullivan and now understand Ron’s lifestyle. Ed lived in a hotel room for 30 years and ate out every night of the week and mingled with celebrities. This is exactly Ron. The motel with the buzzr channel, eating the Paul Bunyan breakfast at Rams Horn and having dinner with dignitaries such as Lance Parrish or Ramon Santiago.
Re: Ron Cameron
I can see the comparison.
Both Ed & Ron were columnists who later became successful tv hosts.
While Ed regularly referred to his devoted wife, Sylvia, Ron regularly refers to Cory Lidle.
As suggested, both had their perches in magnificently appointed hotels. And if he squints just enough while at Ram's Horn, Ron can imagine he’s holding court at the Stork Club or Sardi’s.
While The Doors incurred the wrath of Ed, Martin, Matt & certain callers have been on the receiving end of Ron's fiery temper.
I may have my history wrong, but, in shades of Ron, I believe Ed was once given the phone number for an up-and-coming band of moptopped-lads from Liverpool but his hotel maid threw it out.
Now if only Ron had a puppet mouse to soften his image & make him more endearing. Or maybe that’s the role Mr. Positive plays.
