I hate the 'playing through' concept where you get a split screen with action paired with a commercial. But why do it when you have dead air between every inning? Today it was a Detroit Area Ford Dealer commercial.
It's amazing they can't sell ad time, or don't try for some reason.

Fan Duel sports had issues with the Tigers and Red Wings broadcasts, and now tonight the Pistons second quarter game in Oklahoma City...Cutting costs and too many technical issues lately......one most notably with the simulcast of a game Detroit game that was broadcast over the air statewide stations a week or so ago....

Looks like the ad department got busy. Wallside, Booking.com and Chevy are making in-between inning appearances.
And here I thought I was paying extra for an ad-free experience

Not just that, but the area at the right bottom of the screen that used to be filled with standings and league leaders is now used to show betting odds for every little thing that can happen on a baseball field.

I have to agree here with the deplorable "play by play" if you can call it that by whoever it is calling the game. I have seen pitches thrown whether it be strikes or balls and these clowns just keep talking to themselves about everything but the game at hand. Speaking of Ernie I can remember a time when after 4 1/2 innings the radio guy would switch with the TV guy at that point. In other words George Kell would switch with Ernie. The radio guy would move to the TV booth and TV guy would move to the radio booth. I wish the current radio team was calling the FanDuel Broadcast since no one is doing it now.briangoleb14 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 05, 2025 3:05 pmTried watching but the announce team is just terrible!!! You probably thought Jay Leno was hilarious as well.SixPlusOne wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 1:47 pmI have to agree here with the deplorable "play by play" if you can call it that by whoever it is calling the game. No I would not stay up that late to watch Leno. With regard to the FanDuel Tiger broadcast I have noticed of late that Dan Petry has been the sidekick and I believe that has been a 100% improvement in the play by play. He has brought an interesting pitching analysis to the game that fits nicely as he observes the pitching during the game.GrahamWellington wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 1:56 pmYou probably thought Jay Leno was hilarious as well.
