Christina gave notice last summer that she was leaving and demoted herself to part-time to fill-in for others while they were off on vacation. She is now working meteorology for an environmental firm along with owning her own business with her sister.

Big loss for 12. Matt is a true professional and is a real leader in the newsroom.
They really are dropping like flies there. I believe another reporter Alyssa also quit. She was one of the strongest they had as well.
From what I hear, things are really bad there. Zero Morale. Zero Leadership. News Director is no where to be found and GM just cuts and cuts. Jim Bleicher would be so disappointed in watching what has happened to the mega station he created years ago. The day he left, it has continued to go down hill. Jayne just lived off of Jim's laurels. Denise didn't last long and now Mahon who doesn't have a clue what he is doing. I heard he does not allow people to do any negative stories on the city of Flint or the mayor because the Mayor said they can't.

The only thing ABC 12 does anymore are Flint Powers sports stories and anything even minutely related the the Flint Farmers Market. They think it's the only place in town. And the rumor was years ago they couldn't report anything negative about Back To The Bricks, when there were problems with folks at the event. And we won't even go into the media frenzy they started with the Flint water scam.

ABC12 was all over the turmoil among Flint City Council members. The allegation that they have an agreement not to report negative stories is false.

I can see why they would report negative stories on the Flint City Council. There's nothing positive to report on. The whole council is one big mess and has been. They probably can't even agree on the toilet paper used in the restrooms, let alone city business.

I thought Flint City Council would be in lockstep since aren't they all liberals?

Negative about Flint Mayor and what he is doing in the city. Not the council. Mayor doesn't care if the council looks bad.
There are several reporters that can attest to pitching stories about the Mayor and the actual city and they are told nope not doing those types of stories.
