It's one thing to do something silly like that when you're a kid. It's quite another to still behave like this when you're in your 40s like Fox 2 Detroit's "Weatherboys."
If the suggestion is that Easlick should not be taken seriously because of this, I wholeheartedly disagree. His level of professionalism is something I wish certain meteorologists in bigger markets had.
