I actually would be 100% supportive of that.
Trump is too stupid to know what "reciprocal" means.

If I’m not mistaken a penny costs 2 cents or something to make. So technically they are made at a loss.

Right, so the only people that will hurt are Trumptrash. He keeps shitting on them, and they keep cheering.

The way the dollar keeps dropping, we may need them again.

Canada scrapped the penny years ago. It's no big deal. If something is priced at $1.37 and you bay by credit card or debit, you'll pay $1.37. If you pay cash, you pay $1.35

If something is $8.98 and you pay by debit or credit, you pay $8.98. If you pay cash, you pay $9.00.

If you purchase several items, they only round up or down the final total and only if you are paying cash. $89.97 becomes $89.95. $ 89.98 becomes $90.00. anyone who objects to the two cent rounding up can avoid it by paying with debit or credit card.

Just checking in. Any XOs or anything for working/struggling Americans? I've been told the last four years that the president sets fuel and food prices.

If anyone would be so kind as to let me know. I'll keep watching here to see if that happens.

NYT
Since his election victory, President Trump has said he would not seek retribution against his perceived enemies. “I’m not looking to go into the past,” he said last month on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Retribution will be through success.”

But in an executive order he signed on Monday night, Mr. Trump made clear that he has every intention to seek out and possibly punish government officials in the Justice Department and America’s intelligence agencies as a way to “correct past misconduct” against him and his supporters.

It would be justice, the order said, against officials from the Biden administration who carried out an “unprecedented, third-world weaponization of prosecutorial power to upend the democratic process.”

This is what retribution could look like during the second Trump presidency: payback dressed up in the language of victimhood.

He doesn't care about policy, ideology, or the quality of the man running the country. He got the electoral votes right.

And he’ll tie himself into a pretzel to defend the “logic” used thereafter.

As they should. If you or I or any other citizen was obstructing law enforcement in their duties, you'd probably be charged too.
You don't support state's rights?
What does that have to do with anything?
One word for you: Federalism.
Again, what does that have to do with anything??

There are certain roles designated to the federal government. Two of them being defense and immigration. The federal government is not telling the states they have to take over the task of immigration, but the states (well, just SOME of the states) are actively interfering with the federal government in their attempts to execute their assigned duties.
Actually before the Chinese exclusion act of 1882 there was nobody giving a flying fuck about immigration and worrying about who was coming in and all this blah blah blah… so nothing formally designates the Feds as arbiters of immigration. The constitution doesn’t even have the word in it. Worrying about it is a newer thing.
Maybe you need to reread (or read for the first time) Section 8. Definitely gives the Federal government authority over naturalization. While the SCOTUS originally recognized that States could have a limited role in this, they later confirmed it was exclusively a Federal function.

Would anybody mind quoting the order? I don't see a link to anything, and I see the usual weasel words like "intention" and "possibly."
