Because there aren’t folks in mud huts. And that’s the rub. There are plenty of people who have overextended themselves on materialism and lots of credit. But Trump could care less about anything from those poor forgotten folks other than their adulation.

You have been taken for a ride by a bullshit narrative about prices and groceries and gas and other fun they had no intention of “fixing” that they wrongly blamed on Biden. Why? Because the economy is beyond the control of mortal man and the narrative was cheap, easy and convenient. He won’t lower a single price or make energy a bit cheaper and they won’t even notice or care. It’s a cult.

When will their medals presentations take place at the Whitte House?
Yo Turkeytop, quick question. What is the percentage of parts of United States origin needed in order for an automobile to be labeled "Made in USA" when assembled in Canada or Mexico? Will the product you folks slap together qualify or be subject to tariff?
I don't know the answer to that. The North American auto industry is so integrated that just about every vehicle, regardless of where the final assembly takes place, is built from parts manufactured in both countries.

I read somewhere that every part crosses the border about seven times during the manufacture of the vehicle.

The guidlines set out by my Union (unenforcable) for our members, is that any vehicle we purchase should be Union built in North America, with at least 60% North American content. That percentage for content has been adjusted lower and lower over the years. I remember when it was 75%, but no vehicle nowadays meets that criteria.
The reason I ask is will your employer get hit with the 10-25% tariff?

I am retired, but my employer was not in the auto production industry.

Saudi Arabia wants to invest $600 Billion in the U.S. over the next 4 years according to Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman on a call with Trump. The technical term for this is currying favor with Trump through flattery.

One of the people who served jail time for taking part in the US Capitol riot four years ago has refused a pardon from President Donald Trump, saying: "We were wrong that day."

Pamela Hemphill, who pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 60 days in prison, told the BBC that there should be no pardons for the riot on 6 January 2021.

"Accepting a pardon would only insult the Capitol police officers, rule of law and, of course, our nation," she said.

"I pleaded guilty because I was guilty, and accepting a pardon also would serve to contribute to their gaslighting and false narrative."

Hemphill, who was nicknamed the "Maga granny" by social media users - in reference to Trump's "make America great again" slogan - said she saw the Trump government as trying to "rewrite history and I don't want to be part of that".

"We were wrong that day, we broke the law - there should be no pardons," she told the BBC World Service's Newsday programme.

As they should. If you or I or any other citizen was obstructing law enforcement in their duties, you'd probably be charged too.

NYT:
President Trump revoked security protection for his former secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, and a former top aide, Brian Hook, despite warnings from the Biden administration that both men faced ongoing threats from Iran because of actions they took on Mr. Trump’s behalf, four people with knowledge of the matter said on Thursday.

Mr. Pompeo and Mr. Hook had been part of an aggressive posture against Iran during the first Trump presidency, most notably the drone strike that killed the powerful Iranian general Qassim Suleimani in early 2020.
Defend this shit, BMW. I'll hang up and listen.
