I always use the google chrome browser. But, in the past week or so, this one keeps showing up. What is it and how do I get rid of it?

No idea, but why isn't Buzzboard on your bookmarks?

It's either a new theme for Google or you got directed to another browser.

Those bookmarks change from day to day without any control from me.
I can close down this new browser and open up Chrome. Chrome's appearance hasn't changed.

If I close up Chrome and leave just the desktop on the screen and walk away. When I come back this new broowswer is once again open on the screen.

Clear your cache, delete history.

With an icon that could pass as Edge's (only mirrored) running, look in your installed apps list for something called, OneLaunch, which wedges itself into Windows' "Scheduled Tasks" - you know - in case you forget to start it yourself.

Questionable software at best.

Our experience is that the OneLaunch uninstall routine is not clean, and may leave unwanted lingering effects on your browser'(s)' ability to launch apps you actually intend to use, such as Zoom.

I'd recommend having one or more of your IT-type sons have a look if you're not comfortable with the removal or still have unwanted effects after removing yourself...

That is some excellent info. This is the first time I've heard of OneLaunch. I agree completely that the logo looks a LOT like the Microsoft Edge browser logo, and that the maker of OneLaunch is likely trying to fool PC users on purpose.

There are some interesting comments on Reddit regarding OneLaunch. It is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) at best and browser hijacking software at worst.

MalwareBytes or Revo supposedly are capable of detecting and uninstalling (or at least quarantining) the software after running a scan.

OneLaunch is very invasive - computers that come into my shop for cleanup regularly have it, and it is always one of the first things I uninstall on those machines. The most annoying thing about it is how it loads its own bar right onto your desktop, taking up real estate (though I see no such bar in your particular screenshot).

Bottom line - uninstall it. Easiest way to get rid of it on a Windows 10 or newer machine is to simply type "control panel" into that little magnifying glass icon next to your start button, switch to classic view if not already, then go to Programs and Features. That'll give you a list of programs installed on your computer and OneLaunch should be there. Of course Microsoft in their infinite wisdom now goes out of their way to hide as best they can what used to be a staple of their older operating systems (ie, the control panel and installed programs).
