Barclay no longer at 910AM

Unread post by edj »

Heard a promo for Michael DelGiorno now taking over the 6-9AM slot. Justin Barclay’s Twitter confirms he is no longer involved with the station. Was he fired or did Kevin Adell refuse to pay him?

This now leaves traffic updates as the only non syndicated programming on the station.

DelGiorno is originally from Flint. I believe his father was "Bob Dell" manager of the legendary Big 6 WTAC. Should be a good fit for AM 910.

I never cared for Barclay's folksy, golly gee whiz delivery. Sloppy production seemed to be a problem with the program as well, for example, talking over loud bumper music with vocals.

Hey TVguy, you should ask Premiere (or whoever is in charge) if you can carry The Joe Pags Show. He spent a lot of time on both radio and TV here in Michigan. I'd even settle for reruns on weekends of Joe Pags.

Also, since "The Appliance Doctor" is gone from WJR, that may be something for you to consider for weekends. "The Car Show" is still missing from WJR (as far as I know) that's another possibility for additional revenue, if the show is gone.

I feel if Barclay sprinkled in some local stuff, it would have been successful.
