The Patriot
I haven’t turned on The Patriot in while until this morning. I’m hearing some changes:
- FM transmitted moving to 92.7. I’m assuming it’s swapping with WLQV, where they move to 101.5
- Hugh Hewitt moving from mornings to afternoon drive 3-6. A much better alternative on my drive home.
- Chris Stigall is the new morning host. He was on their Philadelphia affiliate in the morning.
I’m not sure of the rest of the changes. Their website doesn’t list the changes. I tried to find info online, but their FB page is blocked in Canada due to our government blocking news feeds on Meta.
Anyone have any more info?

Re: The Patriot
Looks like WLQV has updated their site and indeed has it listed as 101.5 in the logo.
Personally, I'd rather them both be off the air (their Translators anyway) I too live in Windsor, and it interferes with CJSP and WRVF.

Re: The Patriot
My wild guess is iHM (or someone) finally complained, or threatened to complain to the FCC, about 101.5's signal greatly exceeding FCC-approved specs in Wayne County. So, WDTK's programming was returned to 92.7 in advance of 101.5 reducing power.
My other wild guess is Salem wanted WLQV's programming to be closer on the dial to WMUZ-FM, which begs the question - why didn't they do this from the get-go?
The 101.5 translator should be virtually unlistenable in places such as the southern half of Livonia, yet its signal is almost crystal clear there in the car.
It also appears WDTK will be rebranded to "The Answer," matching some of Salem's other conservative propaganda news/talk outlets.
The station has done a shockingly terrible job informing its listeners of the dial position changes, which have already taken effect. There is zero mention on WDTK's Facebook page and web page. The audience must be so small that Salem doesn't care.

Trump is too stupid to know what "reciprocal" means.

Re: The Patriot
I haven't listened in ages. 101.5 is an interference mess in my area, and 1400AM is useless at night. 92.7 is much better.
Hugh Hewitt was never interesting and sounded half asleep. Maybe afternoon drive (assuming he is live) will be better.

John Anthony was the morning host this morning 7-9. Sounded like it was local. Previous gig was in Chicago for Salem.
Re: The Patriot
I tried listening in the car this morning while in Grosse Pointe. All I could here was a Canadian country station that is on 92.7. It wasn't until I was on 696 near Hoover that I could listen to the new location of the patriot station.

Re: The Patriot
From my location, 101.5 gets hammered regularly by the francophone FM in Sarnia, and in warmer months, completely run over by WRVF during "conditions"
1400 was the original WJLB, and was never meant to cover anything other than the city of Detroit.
Hugh Hewitt strikes me as a RINO, and a bit of a sissy. Couldn't stand Mike Gallagher either, constantly dwelling on his many personal tragedies, while on the air. I did like Larry Elder, but the spotty reception issues were just not worth it.

Re: The Patriot
I'm fairly certain John Anthony is actually broadcasting from Chicago. This morning he made a reference to a segment coming up at 6:23, which is obviously central time given his show runs 7-9.

How do the hosts talk with orange chode in their mouths?
