FanDuel Sports Detroit to be available via Amazon Prime soon
No details yet on launch timing or pricing:
https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sport ... 264296007/
https://www.cnbc.com/2024/11/13/amazon- ... works.html
I am curious how pricing will compare versus subscribing directly via the FanDuel streaming app.
If the pricing turns out to be identical, the partnership with Amazon Prime will do me no good.
The $6.99 single game purchase option announced yesterday is a joke. A whole month only costs $19.99, so why would I spend $6.99 for a single telecast?

I really dislike the Amazon Prime app. Peacock is even better than it for Christ's sakes.

What do you dislike about it? I really have no issues with it, but don't watch much more than TNF.Long time lurker wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 4:27 pm I really dislike the Amazon Prime app. Peacock is even better than it for Christ's sakes.

I have a "smart tv" (Sony Bravia if you're into tv's) and whenever I try to use the Amazon Prime app my TV locks up and it goes back to the home screen. Either that, or it will spin and not do anything. It does work sometimes, but even the interface is overly complex. I could deal with that if not for the other issues. I feel like for all the revenue these apps generate, they should be higher quality.Honeyman wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 5:57 pmWhat do you dislike about it? I have a Bravia as well and do not have any issues. Maybe reinstall the app?Long time lurker wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 4:11 amI have a "smart tv" (Sony Bravia if you're into tv's) and whenever I try to use the Amazon Prime app my TV locks up and it goes back to the home screen. I tried to load Netflix app onto my neighbors 2015 Sony 50” (?) tv a few months ago, and it refused to install . I subsequently learned Sony disabled the ability to load apps other than its own (after purchase?). Where’s the FTC on this anti-competitive action?Honeyman wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 10:04 amI have a Bravia as well and do not have any issues. Sometimes, if your smart TV wants you to ‘update software’, don’t do it.

I have LG smart TV's and they're apps are terrible - slow interface and buggy. The ROKU stick was the way to go for me. It fixed all my streaming issues.

If you’re a Tiger fan, you aren’t paying 162x7=$1134 to watch a complete season of baseball. They are insane.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Those who want to see every Tigers game would obviously buy a six month package for $107.99 or annual package for $189.99 total.

The diehards will pay this, the rest will probably just live without live Tigers baseball on TV. But that's kind of what's happening anyway.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2024 5:45 am Those who want to see every Tigers game would obviously buy a six month package for $107.99 or annual package for $189.99 total.

I have Starlink internet since no broadband providers are available in my area. Each year, T-Mobile provides the MLB TV package for free. I discovered last season I was able to watch all of the Tigers broadcasts since the closest groundlink to Detroit is in Chicago--Cubs and White Sox games are blacked out, but Tigers broadcasts are freely available.
