Enviromental Impact Studies are Slamming Breaks on Economy

Unread post by audiophile »

I'm well aware of insanity of these "studies", that have nothing to do with the clean air or water:

https://youtu.be/hBMoPUAeLnY?t=3143
Psalm 139:13 ~ For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb.

Jeremiah 1:5 ~ "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you;

Exodus 20:13 ~ “You shall not murder."

Not true. China is 2-3 times that rate.

Chinas last year was 5.2%.. this year it’s expected to be 4.8%. It hasn’t been up near 10% in a long time. They are becoming a developed economy. This is the fallacy about GDP… people think it can be 7 or 8 or 9% forever… it doesn’t work that way. Once you’re developed you’re maintaining what you have because there isn’t a need for all that stuff from when it was higher. You’ve developed it already.

We were at a pretty good 2.5% last year and it should be higher this year.

You know what will make them an even better economy? Tariffs. No better way to shrink GDP.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

NEVER EVER COMPLY WITH FASCISM!!!

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

Wrong. There no is GDP on product you don't make here.

Why is fair that Chinese can sell their cheaply made, deflated-currency goods here, without paying property taxes, income taxes, or wages to employees?

Meanwhile USA products must pay these taxes, without the currency manipulation, and can no longer compete.

Tariff's equalize the tax burden and currency manipulation, and eventually rebirth's USA manufacturing.

In the intervening 5-10 years your spatula went from .99 to $15. No thanks.

It won't go to $15, as that would be 1500% tariff. Besides, nobody sells for $99 cents! The Chinese make such bad junk, full of harmful compounds, and wears out much faster, so the real savings is not there after transport costs.

It's like putting together Chinese particle-board furniture - nightmare assembly, and it will warp and fall apart 3x faster than decent made local products.

Remember those Chinese guys are laughing at you for buying their junk:

It’s an exaggeration. But maybe not… you’re gonna pay a worker here 15 times as much to assemble it. Doing blanket tariffs like that will cause something like 20% inflation. It’s a terrible idea.
