Devin Scillian announced he is retiring from WDIV in December, after 30 years there.

No mention of him being Devin’s replacement, so I’m wondering if he’s joining the morning team and Colthorp is moving to nights.

He is most likely Devin's replacement. In the Detroit News article, he said Devin has been helpful in the "transition." Secondly, you don't leave a main anchor job at the #1 station in Sacramento, which pays about 250K (that station in particular), to do mornings in Detroit, which pays about 150K. It likely took a primary evening gig to get him to move his family across the country.

I thought Gulstan Dart and Edie Lambert were the main anchors at KCRA when I lived in Sac. I left Sac for Ohio before this guy got there.

I usually watched CBS 13 due to the news was on at 10pm. A rare west coast station that ran prime time shows 7-10pm.

I know. Thats what I was basing it off of. That 205 is to start. Now. Could have been higher when he started years ago. He was there a few years, so with standard 5k increases, say was around 230-250. You dont move your family across the country from a powerhouse station for less money. And mornings in Detroit dont pay that much. The starting morning anchor money here is 130-175K on average. Main is 200 plus. (Except for a few promoted within, who are making far less). You always make more coming in new from out of town.
