My mom and aunt relocated to Gainesville temporarily from their Villages vacation time share spot. My aunt and uncle are hunkered down in Melbourne. My cousin is riding it out just south of Orlando. Disrespectful. It's a round robin timeshare in the extended family. She is their with my aunt and takes her marriage seriously.

Landfall has occurred at Siesta Key. Storm is now a low end CAT 3 at 115 mph and is taking on some extratropical characteristics. It no longer has a completely enclosed eye, for instance.

Wind field on the south end of the system is much weaker than the north side due to the storm beginning to lose its tropical characteristics.

What actually makes a storm reach landfall anyways?… there was rain and those tornadoes hours ago…
