1950s show predicted a wall building man named Trump?

Post by MotorCityRadioFreak »

This is wild. A 1958 TV show that has an episode with a con man named Trump. The episode features “Trump” who says he is the only one who can help the townspeople build a wall. Get this-he is arrested at the end of the episode!

One of the truism's that gets me through life is no matter how weird things can get, it can ALWAYS get weirder. That clip bares that out.

Thanks for posting it !!!

There's even more than what they featured there. Somebody else put together all the Trump reference clips from that episode here:

That’s effectively what he’s done and what he is… a con artist who has sucked in normal if naive adults into thinking only his inept ass can save them.
Donald Trump… In your guts you know he’s nuts.

There's no way this is from 1958. The similarities are too eerie. Let's see

-a con man named Trump
-only he can help you/only he can fix it
-townspeople fall for it
-law won't do anything to him because TECHNICALLY he hasn't done anything wrong
-a "big lie"
-a "wall built"

What's stranger...fact or fiction?

The fact that fiction woke up one day and became fact and we got caught up in it.

The script writer is well known and passed away recently. It is real. Watch the clip I posted. The show was called "Trackdown" and this was the 30th and final episode.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0732741/

"A glitch in the matrix
Amazing the parallels between this episode and reality 60 years later. If someone would have told me what happens in this episode without seeing it I wouldn't believe it. Sometimes this exact same type of thing happens in other TV and movies. (Simpsons and Family Guy have predicted lots of things and Back to the Future has some eerie parallels to 9/11) The answer certainly is not that the directors and producers were in on anything but that we live in an extremely persistent highly complex simulation of some sort. Sometimes the system glitches and the future is foretold. Usually not in any exact way but pretty close and certainly more than a coincidence. As for the quality of the show itself yeah it's pretty well shot and acted."

Back to the Future features Biff, who in the second movie is essentially Trump.
