The former first lady spoke at two political fundraisers for the Log Cabin Republicans this year, and she was paid $237,500 for an April event, according to former President Donald Trump’s latest financial disclosure form. The payment was listed as a “speaking engagement.”

Trump’s latest disclosure form said Melania Trump was paid by the Log Cabin Republicans for the April fundraiser. But it’s a mystery who actually cut the check: Charles Moran, president of the Log Cabin Republicans, told CNN earlier this month the group did not put up the money for her to speak, and the disclosure form did not give any more information about the source of the payment.

In case anyone is of a mind that I'm being overly harsh to the old whore, I wonder how many of your are aware of the photo deal she struck with Getty Images early in her 'term' of First Lady?

As I understand it, pretty much every photograph taken of her except for press pool/hard news is subject to a licensing agreement. Gone are the days when official White House photographers like David Hume Kennedy or Pete Souza could release images of the goings on at the WH without a fee'd license.

Now anytime a publication or such uses an imaging of the former first hooker they have to cough up a fee. Fair enough you may say, it's her likeness and she should be paid for it. Where the equation gets fuzzy is when the President was traveling abroad she often would arrange for photo shoots not at all related to the visit. She'd show up for a minute for an press photo with the leaders of wherever they were, then off to some exotic location the country might have to produce photo's she had a financial incentive to do. Much less expensive in terms of production were it self-financed. It's a lot less expensive to toss in a few wardrobe shipping containers in AF1 than paying DHL to do the work. If anyone thinks this was just cookie jar money, it's estimated it put a cool million in her pockets.
