According to her socials she's been "job shadowing" at WKYC, the Tegna station in Cleveland. So, I'm not a betting man but it seems that she's heading a bit south. It appears that the recently hired Amber Twardy (https://www.wzzm13.com/article/about-us ... 0afa1a1bcf) will be taking over mornings. This is, of course, all speculation but that's the way things appear at this point.

I stand corrected. This is an excellent hire for WZZM. Glad that they didn't let her get away.

The way it's worded with where everyone will be once George signs off, I assume the new meteorologist they are advertising for will be weekend nights.

Circling back to this, perhaps the job shadowing for some additional mentoring, training, etc., to take on the chief role.

She was working with Betsy Kling in Cleveland.

Betsy has been the chief at WKYC since 2008.

Dutch Reformed .... dont have fun on Sundays .... women are subservient (my dad thinks this way) .... that TWO television stations would have FEMALE chief meterologists??"Especially in this political climate with one party bragging about taking away womens rights....

Not only that, but women who gas each other up and support each other (Ellen Bacca left a comment congratulating Sam on WZZM's facebook post announcing her promotion)

GOOD JOB WZZM! Sam does a great job IMHO. And yes, the weather ladies from various stations seem to party with each other on a regular basis. As goes their Facebook pages anyway.

I wasn't saying that. BKB more or less said "who'd have thought we'd have a TWO female chief meteorologists in this ultra conservative market?"

I responded more or less saying "and who'd have thought they'd be congratulating each other despite working at rival stations?"
