Aren’t you charming. Clearly her employer has different rules than the dollar three eighty you get as an expendable employee in a low paying salaried position managing a 7-eleven or something.

Re: Kelly Rowe-Fox2
You must be a relative or friend. Who takes off months at a time, multiple times, because they're sad or have anxiety and expect to keep their job? This is an at will state and there are no laws protecting your job during medical leave.
Re: Kelly Rowe-Fox2
No I don't even watch 2 and have only vaguely heard of her.... I just see you as an asshole. Apparently FOX is willing to play ball with this and their employment rules allow it. If your employer would fire you for doing the same that's your problem.
Plus you are putting her down for having mental health issues which are just as valid a set of issues as a broken leg or a heart condition. After all the brain is an organ too and if there are chemical issues it's no different than any other organ having a problem and someone having to take time off to deal with it. But having mental issues is NOT a choice and if you haven't been there you cannot really understand that problem.

Re: Kelly Rowe-Fox2
Most companies give you 3 days off for someone dying, when the grieving process is much longer. You act like everyone should be able to take months off at a time because work is wearing them out or their home life is difficult. This makes no sense from a business perspective. Most businesses don't have part-time people on staff to take over for months at a time when someone is on sad leave, like on a TV news station. How would businesses succeed it if employees required months off at a time every year? Do you think a team with deadlines to meet would keep someone who repeatedly takes months off? Even women who have too many babies or babies during crunch time have been let go from jobs after they return to work, legally, including my sister.Rate This wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 12:50 pm No I don't even watch 2 and have only vaguely heard of her.... Note: I still haven't attacked you personally and I didn't attack her, I attacked the idea that she keeps getting months off at a time.
Re: Kelly Rowe-Fox2
So what? What harm is that doing to you? FOX clearly allows this. Are you hurt that you don’t have that option or something? I don’t really understand to what end you are making this point… clearly she is following the procedures of her employer or she would be gone. I’m not acting like this should be a standard… I’m merely point out that fact and giving you a hard time for acting like mental health problems are no big deal.tivoking wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 1:04 pmMost companies give you 3 days off for someone dying, when the grieving process is much longer. Kelly has a couple bridesmaid dresses in the rotation that in my opinion, need to go. Also, she's very cute when a stylist gets a hold of her hair.
Re: Kelly Rowe-Fox2
You're making fun of someone who has better benefits that you do? What she has seems in line with most bene packages I've seen. Thankfully she's getting help.tivoking wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 1:04 pmMost companies give you 3 days off for someone dying, when the grieving process is much longer. I think hes simply pointing out that there are many places that would not be so accommodating. Its nice that she has that perk but the reality is that many folks wouldnt enjoy that same level of repeated and lengthy time off.TC Talks wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 9:17 amYou're making fun of someone who has better benefits that you do? I still don’t understand the point of harping on that… every job and even company within an industry is different. Lots of people don’t make six figures or get a nice office to sit in all day or… I mean what perk or lack of a perk would you like this to end at?dial-it-in wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 10:30 pmI think hes simply pointing out that there are many places that would not be so accommodating. I dont have a dog in the fight so it doesnt really matter to me. Every company is free to offer whatever benefits and perks they want. Obviously FOX 2 is OK with employees taking numerous long breaks as I think Marielle Lue, Liz Luewen (sp?) and Amy Andrews have all missed significant time.Rate This wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 10:44 pmI still don’t understand the point of harping on that… every job and even company within an industry is different. In fact, now that I think about it I bet the Jessica Starr tragedy has impacted how they handle employees mental health.

Agreed. Though the days of having a clothes budget is long gone, local stations need to do better.
Kellie is probably struggling like everyone else to pay bills. Fox2 should budget for a coordinator. L. Pinson looks like she grabs whatever with a blindfold on.
Kellie is an attractive underused talent with a good future. I hope it's not with some other lucky market.
