Will Harris outbid Trump?
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate said in a podcast interview that they were considering dropping their struggling independent presidential bid and endorsing Republican Donald J. Trump, blaming the Democratic Party for what she said was a “sabotage” of their campaign.

Hours later, former President Donald J. Trump said he would consider giving Mr. Kennedy a position in his administration under those circumstances.

“I like him a lot. I respect him a lot,” Mr. Trump said in an interview with CNN after a speech in Michigan. “I probably would, if something like that would happen.”

In a nearly hourlong interview posted online on Tuesday, Mr. Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, a Silicon Valley investor who has poured more than $10 million into their campaign, appeared to concede that their effort was not likely to end in victory. The campaign is running out of money, its poll numbers are falling and its efforts to secure ballot access across all 50 states have hit repeated snags.

“There’s two options that we’re looking at,” Ms. Shanahan said. “One is staying in,” hoping to get 5 percent of the vote to establish a viable political party that will have more access to money and be able to get onto election ballots in 2028. “But we run the risk of a Kamala Harris and Walz presidency, as we draw votes from Trump — we draw somehow more votes from Trump.”
283,000,000 Americans didn't vote for Trump.

Recall the entire point of his candidacy is to draw votes from Biden and now Harris backed by rich Trump supporters. The whole things a sham.

Democratic party is really acting like the autocratic party the way they have treated RFK Jr.

Shanahan is right, they have been the obstructionists.

So it is bad that the Dems aren't nice to an Independent candidate but it is good that the Republican candidate does the same to the Democrat candidate? Please explain your logic.

I might be opposed to that too, but without a specific case it's hard to say.

I would say it's legit between competing candidates within the same party to take it to the party leaders to resolve.

The mind worms have reached his throat. I'm still wondering how Cheryl Hines ever thought he was anything but crazy.

He’s sounded like that as long as he’s been a candidate. After hearing it one realizes what a small miracle it is that anyone wanted to hear 4 years of it.

I guess you never listened to him before?

Sounds like he always did, with speech impediment that he has:

He speech is very cogent and doesn't look like reads from teleprompter.

Believe it or not, it is better than it was 7 years ago. My great aunt had a similar affliction. It is not fun.

There is a ton of irony there given his vaccine position. You would think he would want to make sure EVERYONE had a shot.

I had measles as a kid. I wasn't a big deal. Eyes were sensitive to light, I took penicillin.
