Looks like Bell finally stopped the original stream with that H*** music library. Does anyone know of a specific radio station or streaming station with a library as close to the old CKWW as possible, including Cancon?

Zoomer used to be a good complement, and I still enjoy it, but they have a lot of specialty shows and public affairs programming that interrupts the music. CKUE, CJBQ and CKDO are classic hits stations with more limited playlists similar to the new CKWW.

I should have mentioned that - I was listening to that stream as I was writing the post LOL. I was curious if there are more.

Holy crap, that is an extensive playlist. And I thought the playlist of yacht rock I created at almost 300 songs was big.

What is it with Essex County radio station engineers? So many stations from there sound faint.
Considering the general manager doubles as the news anchor, I doubt Windsor has an engineer. He's probably in Toronto or Hamilton and covers all of Ray's stations.

They are also having issues with the way CKOC Hamilton sounds at times. Every so often CKOC sounds over driven like the VU meters are in the red.

Now I've noticed the bass is fairly weak, and digital dropouts are occurring during the music. What a mess.

The engineer is probably dealing with the Hamilton stations then will eventually get to Windsor.

I don't know, rap music every midday, overnight, and part of the weekend on AM radio sounds like a rock solid plan to me! Maybe CKWW should try it in a few months...

Seriously though, 1270 is gearing up for the Lions and Pistons. Those are the only two local teams the hosts seem to care about. I think their business model is to get people to pay for the right to air podcasts on the station. I've heard many spots for that but very little actual advertising except for a realtor and for Biden (obviously not anymore).

Good Lord - I think the song library is tighter than WOMCs!

Add more News and Talk programming to CKWW's schedule. A music intensive format will not work on AM radio in Windsor. Even going Ethnic from 9 pm to 6 am each day is worth looking into.

But they're actually playing songs worth listening to, so it's okay
