This explains why I'm hearing an 80s song every now and then. And why on Thursday night the 70s @ 7 hour wasn't promoted as 70s @ 7 (and played an 80s song)

CKWW still seems to have the Bell era presentation. I too heard Megan give the final forecast. 40-70 years old suggests to me maybe 70s, 80s, and 90s with a few 60s sprinkled in.

I had such a fun time yesterday listening to WOMC for the Dream Cruise with all the fun classics. But as soon as midnight rolled around and the stale regular playlist started up, I couldn't turn it off faster.

But maybe this will be better. Different program director, different hits in Canada than here.

Really hope the 60s @ 6 and 70s @ 7 stay as well as AT40 on Sunday nights. Nice to come home from work and stream AM580 instead of turning on the TV.

I won’t attempt to spell Megan’s last name either. I can’t find a CKLW staffer page on their website. I’ll miss how inconsistent the presenters are with their recorded forecasts. Some give the temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit, others one or the other (yes, just Fahrenheit!). One guy would give predicted wind speeds in kilometers per hour and highs in Fahrenheit!

There was a job posting for a news reporter. I would guess they would be part of the morning show as I believe some news is a requirement of the license. I believe a public affairs show buried on Sunday morning is too- I expect the reporter to fill that as well.

CKWW dumped the vast majority of songs pre 1964 years ago, except for the 60s at 6 block, and even then there weren’t many. My guess is they’ll add more 80s but keep 60s Motown and British Invasion, and of course the Guess Who and Blood Sweat and Tears for Cancon purposes.

Curious if the changeover will be at midnight, or 6AM with the new morning show.

At least when Megan does the weather "for the final time" they are updating it. I did hear her say the afternoon forecast and now it's evening and next could days.

Been listening for about 30 mins and haven't heard any station IDs or commercials. I think Bell imaging stopped at midnight.
