That's not true. Let's revisit what really happened, shall we? It started with the Commission on Presidential Debates scheduling 3 debates as of last November. Joe Biden was the first to pull out of those.

One of those debates happened. Biden dropped out of the race as a direct result of that debate.

But he was in litigation with George and ABC 2 months prior to agreeing to debate Biden. Nothing changed....except Kamala.

My viewpoint:
The past debate, and the debate in September, were scheduled well in advance by the Commission on Presidential Debates.
Once those dates were announced, both campaigns started planning other events around them.
I'm not sure either candidate taking a pass on what I'll call Fox's "impromptu" debate should be a big deal.

Debate questioners and debate format are much more important than the network serving as host.

Trump should agree to the debate on ABC but impose conditions. One of the conditions should be that George S. cannot be a questioner.

Fox News does a lot of distasteful things, but I've generally found their line of questioning in Presidential debates to be fair.

Doing one debate on ABC and one on Fox News would be a good compromise, in my opinion. There certainly should be two or more debates between Trump and Harris.

George S. Was NEVER a moderator for it in the first place. That fell to Martha Radatz (sp?) and David Muir.

The June debate and the one in September were independently set up by the Trump and Biden campaigns. The Commission on Presidential Debates was told to go take a long walk off a short pier and was unable to schedule any. Since Harris directly took over Bidens campaign her name replaces his on the agreement for the debate and here we are.
