Did you ever hear of a talking house?

There was one near where I lived about a mile away on 1610. A neighbor of the house it was at apparently reprogrammed it with part of "Loser" by Beck, along with commentary aimed at an adversary in the neighborhood. It went on for a month or so until the transmitter was apparently removed by the real estate agent. I don't think it was the FCC.

I disagree that all artists at the Interlochen concert arena are not on commercial radio. There are quite a few radio stations that still or now play 60s and 70s Pop Music. Last year, The Beach Boys, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, and The Osmonds/Donny Osmond all performed at Interlochen. Not your cup of tea, I'm sure, but they did perform there. It is true that stations that play their music are relatively few compared to newer music.

A quick glance at this year's festival reveals 1 of 77 performances having commercial airplay. I think you understand the point that Commercial Radio is increasingly out of touch with listeners who want to see the musicians they hear.

Indeed, I used to see signs for those in my childhood neighborhood on occasion.
That's so petty, I love it. I guess that was the old, analog version of radio broadcast from a house. Now, it's apparently not hard to do because the houses with the crazy Christmas light displays that are programmed by computer also have an FM stream that you can listen to right by the house.
