If they start another WOMC-HD-3, then News Radio 950 WWJ could be aired on it. Unlike the HD channels on 97-1, I would pick it up where I live.

My 2 cents on Sports Wrap 1270
First of all, The ID "SPORTSRAP 1270AM WXYT DETROIT..A Bruthas Broadcasting Station" it'll take getting used to
Some of what I heard was kinda not exactly "Detroit-Centric"
One thing's for sure..Detroit FINALLY has a Fox Sports Radio outlet...
I think some here may agree, BUUUUUUUUUT!! unless they snap up the rights to some major or minor league professional sports , even college games...good luck

Doesn’t 1270 have rights to CMU football? Not that that will draw numbers, but it is income. Would that go to Audacy since they still own the station, or is that subleased and Parker gets a chunk?

Not one local ad. Just PSAs, show promos, and calling for podcasters, even non sports related, to pay for airtime on the station.

I didn’t listen to the midday or afternoon show. Maybe tomorrow. They can’t be worse than BJ Armstrong (I hope).

Maybe I'm missing something here but 97.1 HD-2 has always been WWJ so I never assumed Rob's station would change that dynamic.

97.1 HD-3 has been the true 1270 simulcast. That's the HD channel I assumed would dump BetQL to simulcast Rob's content.

On a personal level, I was thrilled to tune into 97.1 HD-3 this morning and still hear the BetQL content which I enjoy in small doses. Very glad the new venture didn't hijack the HD-3 signal.

Playing rap music the last several minutes. Host back out at the last minute?

Listening to the station around 12:30pm today I was hearing rap music I haven't heard in years, e.g. "The Humpty Hump." Right before the hourly ID, the listener was promised sports rap by day with classic rap at night.

Any mention of live streaming? Not a good AM signal in parts of Monroe county Michigan. Would like to at least check it out. The idea of rap music on AM radio is laughable. Some of those rappers are hard enough to understand as it is, now we're adding an AM signal with it's crackling static and low fidelity to the mix?

The afternoon show is the most polished. Guest interviews, and a few callers, including (no surprise) Mr. Positive.

Feed was cutting in and out during the heavy rain earlier.
