Who goes to McDonald’s in 2024?
Everybody else.
I don't understand the appeal of eating slop prepared by a drug addict that may or may not have spit in it. You can make your own coffee, hell you can make your own soda with a sodastream. I love mine. You can also make a much better burger at home. Buy a pound of ground beef, get a blend of pepper, salt, and garlic and cook your own! Throw some onions in the pan and saute them. Pickles, ketchup, mustard, some cheese, and you're good to go. Probably take less time than going to the drive-thru.

When you go to your local McDonald's or wherever you are supporting a local small business owned by someone who bought a franchise. Slop? According to you and that's fine, don't go. But many people like the convenience and time saved by not going to the store spending five bucks for the meat, four bucks on buns, whatever veggies and cheese you want and five bucks for a bag of fries then taking it home and cooking and then cleaning. And it isn't cheaper either.

Time is money for many like me. I have a Mr. Coffee. And it gets used on the days I'm not working. But by the time I make a pot, I could be halfway to work.
I'll tell you something else I do about once a year. Take my clothes and bedding to a Laundromat even though I have a washer and dryer. Being able to load up six washers and dryers all at once, and knock it all out in 2 hours is worth the $15 in quarters to me.
Fast Food prices have gone wayyyy up, the quality and quantity of the food you order has gone down...
Ridiculous , $12.89 for a Medium Big Mac meal the other day, and geez , you gave me enough lettuce for a month on the burger,
At least at my local Chinese place, I can get an Almond Boneless Chicken dinner for $13, and it's enough to last me two days, maybe three...

... While taking your stuff to a laundromat is also dumb, its not as dumb as going to McDonalds.
We will have to agree to disagree about this one. Let's say I have a lot going on. Doing six loads is going to take at least 5 hours at home. Like I said, I can do it all in 2 hours at a Laundromat. That frees up at least 3 hours to get other things done.
