They have called up Akil Baddoo to fill the roster spot. They should have Matt Manning pitch Monday against Miami.

How well has the 40-game mark predicted the season in the A.J. Hinch era:

2021: 14-26 (.350) + 63-59 = 77-85 (.475)

2024: 20-20 (.500); ???

Based on all this, I see them finishing 81-81 or 82-80. Like the Red Wings this year, we'll have to settle for a non-losing record as progress.

I don't believe it, nine innings of shutout ball and we lose 1-0 in ten. How often can great pitching hold up to this? Tonight's victim, Reese Olson who went eight innings striking out six with zero walks. Rookie call-up Wenceel Perez had two of the Tigers' four hits.
