Nexstar is throwing a lot of money and has very little to show for it. They are making their local stations spend significant local time on promotion for a channel that no one watches… except for the comedy writers at SNL who find humor in how bad NewsNation is.

How was that skit meant to be a slam against NewsNation? They could have selected any other news outlet and it would have been the same exact skit. Yes, no doubt everyone who watched that skit had the reaction "Oh man they really burned NewsNation!"
What exactly was the burn? That the NewsNation anchor didn't know who Beavis and Butthead were? That two people in the audience resembled Beavis and Butthead?
